The Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter allows you to connect a high definition monitor, projector, or TV that uses a DVI connector to a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air with a Mini DisplayPort.
This Mini Display Port to DVI adapter allows a connection of other DVI devices such as DVI Monitor / flat screen, HDTV or projector to your Mac. The socket provides perfect compatibility and optimum signal transfer without loss of quality. High-quality for Apple MacBook Pro, Apple MacBook Air, Apple MacBook etc. This adapter will not convert from DVI to Mini DisplayPort ( eg: to display a PS3 on an iMac with video in via mini DP)
Please note that DVI ports do not carry audio signals so this cable will not carry an audio signal to your DVI monitor/TV/projector. Audio must be taken from your computers phono, optical or 3.5mm jack plug (whichever is applicable).
